Bottle from duty free shop on DFDS cruise (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Pours a light amber color. Almost no head, but leaves some lacing on the glass. Aroma is quite typical of the style..mostly cheesy without much in the way of hop aromas. Taste is similar; seems to defy its name by offering only a very mild bitterness.

Bathory (458) - Kverneland, NORWAY - DEC 23, 2012
Pilsener colour with a creamy white head. Piney aroma together with some sourness. Flavour is classic pilsener, some extra hop flavour. Maybe some East Kent Golding in the mix. A really good lager, but not fantastic.

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 13, 2012
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden body with a small white head. Nose is floral, yeasty notes with heather and grass in the back. OK, but a bit faint. Taste is floral grass and heather tones, with hints of bread and herbs. Nice enough. Creamy palate, smooth carbonation. An OK thirst quencher, but no more.

Foffern (1982) - Bodø, NORWAY - NOV 8, 2012
Bottle at home. The colour is of golden dark straw, and has a medium white and nice head. Great aroma of hay, grass, pale malt, lime and spices. Feels more like a classic light lager in the flavour with more hay, grass, pale malt and some citrus and hops. Is a bit dry in the end. The mouthfeel is light and slick, and has a light bitterness. A surprisingly nice and well-balanced beer with a fine aroma that is leaning towards a saison in my opinion.

gunnar (9697) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAY 18, 2012
On tap at CBF 2012. Pours pale straw coloured with a small white head. Aroma of flowery hops. Taste has a distinct bitterness, crisp and clean mouthfeel. Just another average pilsner.

Pours golden. The aroma is sweet malty and grass hoppy with undertones of herbs ad white bread. The flavour holds bready and hay-like malt alongside bitter and grassy hops.

#1445 draught; nose is weak bittersweet hops, little lemon, mediumbroad malt, late sweet pea, feel is watery, carb is mediumheavy, taste is heavy soda, weak lemon, dry malt, medium hops finish

visionthing (5533) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 9, 2012
50cl bottle. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruits and some hops. Quite a disappointment regarding the name, I expected more hops. Sweet, malty and fruity and lightly hopped. Slightly bitter finish. Does not live up to it’s name, but better than the usual industrial lagers. Quite boring, but easy to drink.
