2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
50cl bottle thanks to Nikolai. Pours hazy brown with a red hue - there’s a nice generous head. The nose is a little dry and elusive, possibly a bit like dry malt. The taste is a little more open but still quite introverted, a real malt loaf flavour. The palate is medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry-ish finish. Overall, slightly disappointing.

Small head. Dark brown. Clear!! Spicyness rules the aromas. Still subtle. Cloves. Malt. Sweet dry. Well balanced. Alcohol well hidden. Like it with salmon spinach ravioli.

Copenhagen 30/11 2014. 50 cl bottle from Irma. Pours clear red brown with light beige head. Aroma is spicy with some sweetness - but not overwhelming. Medium low carbonation. Taste is rather bitter with some slightly metallic notes of alcohol. Some yeast in there too - like in an Belgian beer. Not much sweetness considering that it should contain 1,5 pct. cane sugar. As the beer warm up the sweetness becomes more apparant.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber with a big beige head. Sweet malty and fruity aroma. Taste is of malts, caramel, hops, fruits, dark sugars and spices. Medium carbonation and above average body. Sweet with a bitter and spicy finish. I hadn’t expected much (it’s from Skands) but it was better than expected. Xavalias (285) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 7, 2014
Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a small beige head that disappears very quickly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is malty, with sweet candy, sugar, sweet caramel, artificial sweeteners; quite yeasty, dried raisins, bread; a bit spicy too. The taste is sweet without excess, light bitterness. The palate is smooth, low carbonation, with a long sweet finish. Desverger (12907) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 25, 2014
