(50 cl bottle; BBD: April 24th 2013) Pours clear dark brown with beige head that fades quickly but laces the glass well. Aroma is aniseed, malt and a hint of wet dog. Oily texture, medium body, soft carbonation and a dry finish. Flavour is dominated by aniseed and it’s hard to find the malt in there. Hops are not contributing to the flavour in this one but I presume they’re causing the dryness somewhere. I never appreciated spice adjuncts in beer and this one is no exception. Girlfriend says: "It’s not very subtle. For me the aniseed would be better in a lighter beer." Pinball (12155) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2012

On tap. Pours a clear orangey brown with no head. Heavy star anise aroma. Light body, dry licorice accents, but no real maltiness, not much hops either. But very drinkable for what it is. 110512
