Wolfgang’s German Style is brewed in small batches using Hersbrucker hops, pure water, yeast and malted barley. It is distinctively full bodied; smooth and exceptionally tasteful to the pallet. Cold filtration ensures an all natural, great tasting beer.

Bottle. Medium-yellow and a good long-lasting froth. Vile aromas of toilet and eggs; nonetheless I dive in and taste a generic watery pilsner with a mild grain/bread finish. It’s beyond me why anyone would purchase this premium-priced product over the vast expanse of buck-a-beer swill.

355 ml bottle. Golden colour. aroma of bread, malts, grains. Taste is sweet, no hops at all. This is supposed to be a pilsner?

bottle. Poured clear amber with a receding white head. Crisp grassy aroma. Light crisp dry palate. Flavour is light bready pale malt with not an abundance of hoppy character. Not what I expect from a Pilsner style, tastes more like a malt liquor. Not offensive.

Bottle LCBO OCB Sampler pack. Pours golden with fast dissipating whte head. Malts and grains in aroma. Fairly light bodied, high carbonation. Very sweet and otherwise characterless.

Aroma typical, flavour is a of light hop and grainy taste, overall this is an ok one and I would try again

Bottle. Pours clear straw gold with nice white head. Bready grainy straw light aromas with a light grassy near floral hop aroma. Light Medium body, light-medium bitterness and subtle hop flavours are still very present among the med-high carbonation, semi sweet finish rounding out to a bready, grainy like dryness.

Spab (4081) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2011
341 ml bottle from LCBO (OCB Discovery Pack - Holiday 2010). Pours a nearly clear golden colour with small white cap. Aroma is fairly mild, slightly bready and the lightest whiff of grass. Taste is also fairly understated with light breadiness and a very mild grassiness. Not great but it’s got some minimal but detectable pilsner character and no real ’off’ notes.

Pours clear bubbly golden (apple juice colour). Bubbly white head. Aromas plain grainy malt, vegetables (I agree with the celery), bit of grassy hops? Taste is primarily sweet grainy/bready malts. Bottle says there isn’t, but it tastes like there’s sugar/corn syrup. Virtually no hop character/bitterness. Blah. Unpleasant, but there’s worse out there.

Bottle. Skunky hops I don’t care for. Boring thin gold appearance. And here I was pouring this thinking I’d have a session beer. Fuck.

I tried this beer ion December 9, 2010 after purchasing the Holiday 2010 Discover Pack at one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent dark gold colour with a very thin white ring for a head and mild effervescence. The aroma is grainy malts and not much else. The mouthfeel is watery and the carbonation is low. The flavour is grainy malt, slightly sweet, and acidic. Not impressed at all.
