Dark golden beer with a thin white head. German hops with almost cheesy qualities. Good fresh malt with german crisp hops. Decent body. Sweetness as temperature raises. Not bad. Sammy (12205) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 30, 2006
Initial foamy head and then just a bit of head after. Translucent golden. Lace. Aggressive carbonation, light body. Lagerish metallic, little taste though on the sweet side perhaps corn. Avoidable. Bottle. So, I’m the Skeena brewing company and I’m going to brew (make that contract brew) one beer to offer to the world! Hmmmm, what will that beer be.... I know! How about a malt-liquor-ish, strong pale lager that has an adjuct laden profile and very little character? YEAH! And we’ll call it a "classic German pilsener" cuz nobody will know how full of shit we are! We can cash in on the craft beer craze, and losers like DuffMan will buy it just to rate it! Our business plan is BULLETPROOF!
...well Skeena, congratulations. Success. Boo. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 29, 2007
Bottle from LCBO. Golden body with a tiny white head. Sweet dilute grainy aroma, notes of washed out watery vegetables like canned corn. Sweet generic graininess of the flavour with more hints of washed out corn. I do not know if there are adjuncts used or not, but the flavour is definitely reminding me of these flavours regardless. Average palate. Disappointingly rough.

Perspicuous hop cheese perfumes permeate the pallor and propose citrusy poise with piney undercurrents...Worty soils don’t mingle well with the heterogenous Hersbrucker and create discomfort...Meek metallic movements mar even more the mellow misdirections...

[441-20070726] Sample @ LCBO-Summerhill. Grassy wheat and pungent mould aroma. Clear, dark yellow body with a quick white head. Flavour is more grassy wheat. Medium body. Not attractive.
Bottle at The Rhino. Pours a clear gold with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and grain. Flavour is malty with a hint of smoke, caramel and an aftertaste that I found a tad weird at first but then settled to a light hop finish. Light bodied. Better then expected, and not very Pilsener-like but I wouldn’t want two in a row. Radek Kliber (7359) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - OCT 3, 2004
Aroma of dirty mop with some sticky sweet aroma. Bland gold lager . Sweet, highly carbonated, medium light malt accented. Better than aroma was promising. Thanks Doug! HogTownHarry (6872) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 11, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2005 Bottle (341ml). Poured mostly clear, bubbly lightly amber-gold with a large slightly off-white fizzy, bubbly head. Aroma was very much of sweet creamed corn and various chemical tones - if there’s hop in there, I can’t sniff it. Taste is corn-sweet, quite can-of-green-beans-on-shelf-too-long tinny, a slightly harsh syrupy and finish with more alcohol insistence than should be expected. Mouthfeel is light and annoyingly cloying. Nothing specific to hate exactly, but I found my nose curling in distaste at each stage.
