I'm not a great fan of the "bitter" style, but this is a good beer. Amber colour, few head. Fruity (apricots and peach) aroma. The flavour is malty, quite fruity, with a good, but not too much bitter hoppy finish.

Pours coppers with reasonable head. Fairly subtle aroma of light malt and some hops. Easy drinking traditional bitter style. Initially remembered this being nicer on cask when tried a few years back, but the more I have it again in a bottle, the more I like it.

Bottle tried at home. Pours rich copper with thin, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma fairly bland and acidly citrus. Slightly grassy and astringent. Not in a hurry to have this again.

Amber with thin head. Slight caramel hints, quite malty overall. Not massively hoppy. Very smooth and easy to drink.

Bottle. Copper Amber in colour. Hoppy; bitter grassy hops. Fruity; citrus fruity, lemon, grapefruit. Malty; grainy malts, wheat. Bitter citrus hoppy throughout. OK. Drinkable. (2010-06)

Pale amber, with a modest froth. Nose is sweet, nutty malt. Taste is mid bodied, sweet malt, with a rounded bitterness in the finish. Middling intensity. A good beer in the traditional style. Very good with food.

Bottle from Lidl, Wrekenton, Gateshead. Golden coloured with a malty, slight soapy sulphur and fruity flavour followed by a smooth red fruity finish. Ok.

Nice floral hops aroma but the beer has next to no head and looks like cider vinegar. Taste is not much better, very yeasty, lasting fuggles like stale bitterness on the palate. Struggling to finish it. Won’t buy again.

Denne øl har vundet Camra "best bitter og great britain" i 2008. Den er meget humlet, helt tør i det. Den smager næsten så meget af humle, at bitterheden er ovre i en IPA.
