Previously called Summer Blonde.
A combination of the highest quality wheat malt and British and American hops makes this lightly coloured wheat beer deceptively easy to drink with a superb citrus finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Slightly hazy pale golden with a small, rough, off-white head. Light citrus accents in the nose. Light body with lightly sweet malts, some fruit and a dry and lightly bitter finish. 220808

Cask at the new crown. Aroma is pale buttery malts, yeasty fruity character. Taste is similar with grassy hops. Boring.

Bottle, thx to fonefan. It pours a slightly hazy, almost golden beer with some white bubbles excuse for a head. Citrusy, piney aroma on a malty, butterscotchy base. Pleasant citrusy and piney flavor with hay, flowers and some bitterness. Not much maltyness. Medium body. Fruity, citrusy and quite bitter finish. Medium body. A quite boring beer, but nothing wrong with it. Quite refreshing and quenching, but boring. (080822)

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2009 50 cL bottle. Pours almost clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Mild milky and ornish aroma with a mild fruity hops note. Mild spiced flavour with a delicate citrusy hops flavour. Light butterish note. Lingering delicate hops fruity note into the finish. Yet with a mild buterish note that wont let go.6-3-5-3-11=2.8

Only a slight criticism but I do not like the label. Looks like one of those crap smutty postcards from the seaside. Might be intentional but I don’t like it. Nice citrus finsh without being flowery which often puts me off Enlgish beer. Decent enough, not bad.

Hoppy, heady english wheat beer with very citrus overtones. We had over 200 pints of the stuff, lugged on sack trucks by Steve himself to our Glastonbury Festival campsite. Steve said he’d brought something to appeal to both the lager and ale drinkers amongst us. Nice one Steve!

Hazy yellow with a medium sized, lasting white head. Lemon aroma, some wheat and hay. Sweet and grainy flavour.

Cloudy pale golden hue covered by a thin, but uniform white sheet of foam. Non-evolving flavours showcasing pure wheat before everything and pretty much nothing else. Faint leafy hops and light huskiness in the finish are unsatisfying. One-dimensional and boring.

[email protected] Golden colour, small head. Aroma is mainly wood, some spices and a bit of wheaty notes. Flavour is the same, and quite watery to the palate.
