A Mes rate. Cask at the Queens Head, Chelmsford. Bright citric hoppy aroma with some very faint peaty notes. Very clean mid gold with a thin white head that lasts reasonably well. Lovely creamy bitter hoppage in the mouth. Very grassy and floral. Slight bacon in the finish. Interesting and enjoyable. Certainly one of the better beers from this brewer. tommann (3754) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2010
500ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a small head. Nose isn’t strong, some citrus and resinous hops, pleasent enough. A bit sweet and a light bitter finish with some citrus on the aftertaste. Goes down easy. Body is a bit light and a tad watery, but a spot on beer for drinking in the sun. joe19612 (2929) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2010
Bottle. Pours a medium orange colour with a thin white head. Plenty of wheat and fruit in the aroma. The taste is all citrus with a hint of peach that leads to a dry bitter finish.

Very nice indeed. Slighty sweet, slightly wheaty, slightly meaty. I was in my car today, on my way to tescos in Truro to buy a bottle of this very ale, when i drove past the Skinners Brewery itself?! How sppoky is that! Don’t like the sound of those yank hops though? Whatever next?

Cask conditioned Handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A blonde coloured beer with a whitish head. A slightly sweet aroma with hints of honey. Some oranges in the mouth with yet again a honey sweetness. A reasonable beer with good length but the sweetness is a little off putting. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 17, 2003
I'm still a bit unconvinced with these English wheat beers. there lovely to sit down and drink in the summers, because they're fresh, zesty citrusy, but i feel they lack a bit of character. Still this one is very well balanced, and entirely drinkable, probably one of my favourites i the style, some nice aromatic hops aswell. RichardGretton (4770) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2005
Cask. Pale beer (only a slight hint of wheatness) with a light aroma and watery lighlty hopped flavour. Overall quite a plain beer. RoyceH (1199) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - AUG 14, 2007
