Previously called Summer Blonde.
A combination of the highest quality wheat malt and British and American hops makes this lightly coloured wheat beer deceptively easy to drink with a superb citrus finish.

Bottle. What and fruity nose with hints of malt. Pours a bold amber coloured beer. taste is light, sweet with notes of peach and pineapple. Some what is also present. Quite a pleasing thirst quencher.

Bottle from the brewery shop. Gold pour with a white head. The aroma reminds me of banana toffos (bastards don’t make ’em any more!) with a splash of caramel and strawberry. Low carbonation. Citrus, caramel and soft fruit flavours. Fruity finish.

Bottle from a Cornish ASDA. Clear golden with a white head. Nice enough - light and refreshing with citrus notes. Little to make it stand out from the crowd.

Not bad. Slightly citrus taste alongside a somewhat lager based main flavour. Drinkable but not outstanding.

Cask at GBBF. Clear gold beer. Light semi sweet malt. No citrus?! Dull.

tombyars (1702) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - MAR 5, 2012
First tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival in September 2003. Cask, gravity dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Lemon peel and hop flowers in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a zesty lemon and grapefruit flavours juicy in the mouth. Cereal flavour noted in the hop resins leading to a bitter aftertaste. Finish is dry with slightly astringent hop resins present in the drying palate. An ok ESB but really tasted below the 5% ABV though.

Subtle tasting wheat ale with a good body, nice texture and dry in its aftertaste.
