Csk. With a pump clip like this, you’d expect a beer with balls, but no. A very soft ale, rather thin, a little bitterness in the finish. The English golden ales will never be my favourites.

The London Inn (’Spoons), Torquay. Rotten egg snout. Bursting with citrussy hop goodness and crackerbread malt. Almost Church. Lovely beer.

Cask at The Barony, Edinburgh. Dry dusty aroma with notes of citric hops. Smooth mouthfeel with flowery, bit earthy hoppiness. Frity backbone. Low bitterness.

Cask, Barony, Edinburgh, RBESG 07. Hazy gold, thin white head. Fruity citrus hop. Mouth is malty, hop balanced, some citrus, bad conditioning evident. Finishes dry, slightly brackish. Lots of nice fruit, but a bit normal.

(RBESG 2007, Cask at The Barony, Edinburgh) Golden color, offwhite head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with some grapes. Malty, somewhat spicy flavor, grassy, hoppy and rather bitter. Quite a bitter finish as well.

Cask @ The Cove, Covent Garden, London. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Fruity malty aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweet fruity, malty and hoppy flavor. Sweetish malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Hazy golden with a small but lasting white head leaving some lace. Citrus aroma, some elderflower, hint of toffee. Sweet malty flavour that lacks some personality, says the guy who is not a fan of floral golden ales...

[email protected] Fruity and malty aroma with some citrus. Dark yellow color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, fruity, malty, orange, hint of caramel. Very smooth, very pleasant.
