berkshirejohn (6533) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2011
50cl bottle from Waitrose. Golden amber with a scummy ring of white head; aroma of orange and malt; sweet fruity flavour with more orange and some stewed malts - with that typical jamminess that comes from over-pasteurisation; and a citrus orangey finish with an uncomfortable hoppy bitterness.

Bottle. Thin white head which quickly dissipates. Orangey amber body. Fruity. alcohol. Bittersweet. Dry finish.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm dec 2010. Brown beer with a very thin flavor.

DruncanVeasey (8239) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2010
The Baron, Hinckley. Deep gold with a fine even collar. Plastic and stale fruit aroma. Flavour of whitebread sandwiches kept in a warm plastic lunch box with a banana, an apple and an orange. Watery, a touch stale and dangerous; almond hints with some redeeming husky malt and digestives on the end. Shown up by the Holdens I’m afraid. Dour strong ale- didn’t finish a half.

Rune (12975) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 16, 2010
Half pint, cask at The Alexander Graham Bell (JDW) in Edinburgh. Tiny, white head that stays well atop of a clear, copper body. Aroma is mid-sweet, malt-fruity. Sweet bready malts in flavour conjoined by sweet fruits and followed by a spiced bitter ending. Likable, 30.11.2010.

wheresthepath (2345) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2010
[Cask at the Back of Beyond, Reading] Light amber, slight white head. Fruity aroma. Peppery at first, but then a growing sweetness - too much so by the end. Rather watery for a beer of this strength.

2.3
rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 11, 2010
Cask at Akkurat. Golden/copper color, small white head. Weak spicy aroma. Malty spicy flavor, a little peppery, rather thin.

sm89walt (2070) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 4, 2010
Cask - The Bell Hotel (JDW), Norwich. Small though lasitng creamy off-white head, some lace and a slightly hazy ruddy orange body. Good general malt profile and a sweet cakiness. Caramel, bread & sulphur aromas. Sweet and malty though not spiced as I imagined it might be. Minerally, bready malt backbone and a fair though short almost herbal hop finish. Light to medium body & carbonation.
