Dover Beer Fest Full bodied pale ale with a good hop sprinkle. Nice clean sweetness; well arranged. Decent beer. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 25, 2006
Cask (gravity dispense) at White Cliffs Beer Festival, February 2006. Amber coloured. Not very Christmassy. Sweetish, with some dusty hop character and touches of nuts & berry fruit. Lightish body. Clean mouthfeel. Solid but unspectacular.

Amber coloured strong in alcohol and slightly rich on the palate. Some sour fruit flavour. Lasting malt finish. imdownthepub (15517) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2005
Bottle Conditioned, aged 3.5yrs. Red amber with lacing white head. Full flavoursome rounded beer with rich malty base. Plenty of rich fruit and nutty flavours balancing a drying finishing bitterness. Worth aging this beer for a while, good results.

Bottle. Amber colour with medium sized head. Malty with balancing bitterness. Medium bodied and highly drinkable due to it’s balanced simplicity!?! DeepBlack (386) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2004
Bottle from The Beers of Europe shop near Kings Lynn, Bottle conditioned.
A dark amber / mid-Brown colour.
Nice dry-ish malty taste. Quite "warming" & Biscuity. skortila (6009) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - FEB 3, 2004
Very smooth sweet smell; malty and fruity. Clear, reddish-orange coloured with a thin white head. Taste is sweet, very nutty and bitter in the end. Bitter and smooth palate. Nutty taste remains. Quite decent brew, above expectations! nigos (631) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2004
Deep bronze hue with virtually no head. Brandy and toffee nose. Nutty, malty taste with toffee flavours a little thin and watery. Disappointing. RichardGretton (4861) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2003
Flat looking standard ale with a standard English hopped beer aroma. Very watery flavour with a bitter finish. Overall a poor version of a basic English ale.
