Bottled. Deep amber colour, soft modest white head that had dissipated by the end. Beautiful hop aroma with a strong malty backbone to it. This has a sweat, succulent blend of malts and definitely fulfils the expectations that the label ‘winter warmer’ put forward. I know it was good because despite my best efforts I’d drunk the lot before finishing the rate. bierkoning (13813) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUL 17, 2003
Dark amber color. Aroma and flavor of caramel, butter, hops and licorice. Some pear and blackcurrant fruitiness. Medium bodied. leaparsons (10862) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2002
A tan coloured beer with a sweet, smokey aroma. Flavours are more delicate than complex, which is a shame. Not the best of Xmas English beers. rauchbier (3949) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2002
Bottle conditioned. Amber brown, low head and condition. Aromas of caramel malt and fruity hops, some toffee and more fruity hops in the mouth and a yeasty bitter finish with lingering hoppiness.
