Cask at the red lion, Newquay, UK. Golden corlored with a firm white head. Malty and hoppy flavours, nothing is dominating but also there is not much of a body. Little bit on the boozy side.

Cask @ Standing Order, Edinburgh 271112
Orange amber, thick pillowy white head, very good lacing
Aroma - staleish malts, bit mineraly, off aromas, bit eggy
Taste - caramel malts, cereals, dull fruity malts, little spicy, some odd plasticy off note, not a great flavour
Palate - medium body. Finish as main flavour
Overall - Just came across as mediocre and left half of my beer - wasnt working for me, condition possibly suspect here

tombyars (1656) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - MAR 5, 2012
Tasted this in the Counting House, Glasgow (JDW) in December 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear amber in colour with a thick white head. Herbal tea and mown grass in the long aroma. Thin but creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a fruit base of pink grapefruit, kiwi, gooseberry and lime. Dusty floral hops add a bitter herbal note to the long aftertaste which compliments the malt well. Warm juicy marmalade fruit coats the palate with citric sweetness and a litle alcoholic kick. Great ESB for the winter and well recommended.
