Cask at The Ship Inn Porthleven. Light hazy gold with white head. Light floral hop notes citrus wheat malt. Tangy

500ml brown bottle, filtered, from Asda. 4.8%. Naff cartoon surfer in cheap naff colours. Looks like a Lidl brand. The new image is not working for me - but I suppose it’s not aimed at me. Beer is pale and hoppy. A mix of old and new world hop flavours. Doesn’t really work for me - just a little too hop forward, and a little too malt neutral. It’s not aggressive, so it can be drunk - I’d just prefer to drink something else.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2017 Butelka 500ml. Ciemno-zloty kolor. Piana biala,srednia,opada szybko. Cytrusy,owoce tropikalne,czuc ananasa,chmielei karmel. Lekkie i orzezwiajace niestety niezbyt skomplikowane.

Pours very light and see little thin looking. Citrus aroma dominates. Flavour is pleasant but perhaps a bit one dimensional. Carbonation vanished quickly. Nice, but maybe tastes better on a Cornish beach.

Bottle at home. A nice, fresh hoppy and citrussy beer that quenched the thirst and tickled the tongue. A good colour and a nice light carbonation.

Tried at the strait and narrow, Lincoln. Golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is light malty caramel. Taste sweet. Thinish.

Bottle from Tesco. Pours golden yellow with thin head. Aroma somewhat citrussy and fresh, but nothing too exciting. Refreshing and drinkable.

Bottle at the Bakehouse in Penzance. Fairly strong piney hops and caramel malt to balance. Fairly strong fruit notes, lovely beer.

Nice, drinkable strongish golden ale. Drank it several times on the Isles of Scilly. Stronger than most in the category and particularly smooth and more-ish. Good beer.

(Cask at Angleterre, 20151014) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was small, white and it lasted long. Aroma had herbalness, earth and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were herbalness, earth, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A bit weird but still tasty hoppy pale ale.
