Cask at The Punch Bowl in York. Pours light translucent gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is too faint for me. Med body. Flavor is a little like cooked barley with some spicy hop. Very different in a noticeable way. Good session ale. I’m starting to really like it.

leaparsons (10554) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2013
Cask, The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Hazy gold with an off white foam. Aromas are biscuit and mellow lemon with yeast. Leafy and floral with strong mineral notes. Flavours are dry biscuit with yeast and light lemon. Gritty on the palate with a gentle hop finish. Has some underlying honey sweetness. OK.

Rune (12813) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 11, 2013
Cask, one-third pint at The Richard John Blackler (JDW) . Filmy layer to an unclear, yellow-gold body. Spotty lacing to the upper level of the glass. Leafy hops to the nose. Fruity taste with lemony hops to the fore. Dry bitter ending. A bit watered on the palate. OK start to a the Wetherspoon spring festival (Liverpool, 07.04.2013).

SarkyNorthener (4625) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2013
[email protected], wolverhampton. Pale amber, no head. Sulphur aroma. Taste is malts, some citrus hops. Not very good.

Theydon_Bois (19541) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2013
Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickenham, 07/04/13. Clear pale golden with a decent white cap. Good lacing ensues. Nose carries pale malts, grass, citrus, light floral hop notes. Taste comprises pale malt, cereal, touch of orange, light hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth and crisp in the finish. Ok stuff, the blandometer is edgeing towards amber but it was in good form and eminently quaffable!

The Playhouse Spoons, Colchester. Almost clear gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and dry and slightly airy. Bitterish grapefruit and orange citrus. Mild minerals. Some sweeter orange before the dry finish. Medium bitter linger. Not bad but skewed by a slight sulphur note.
