Tower 42 bottleshare on me biffday! Thanks to Paul. Clear brown beer, thin tan head. Palate is smooth and has modest fine carbonation. Nice dark malts, mildly sweet and creamy. There is a mild fruity tang but it’s not bashing you round the head with it as so many porters and stouts do. Light citric hop. Smooth finish. Nicely rounded porter.
September 2016 - Bottle share at One Canada Square. Many thanks to Scopey for this rare Scottish brewery tick. As ’Skinny Pigeon Void Crawler Porter’, 7%, nice branding. Pours opaque black, foamy brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is creamy dark chocolate, ashy, chocolate liqueur. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is chocolate, spicy, earthy berries, some redcurrant. A lovely porter. Nice work. (3.9) Theydon_Bois (21853) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2016
