2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Long Neck Portal da Mar, Porto da Barra, Salvador. My introduction to Brazilian beer. Not about taste but cold refreshment. Sharp bitter initial taste that quickly fades to nothing. Light bodied almost empty. One may as well be drinking a slightly alcoholic tinged popsicle.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Yellowish golden colour with mediumsized bubbly/fluffy head that vanishes quite fast. Aroma is grainy, malty, a bit cooked vegetables, and also some slight grassyness. Flavour is sweet malts, grains, some mild grassyness as well as mild notes of rubber.

A very light lager, that is ok on a very hot summers day, but otherwise I’d pass.

Can from Bierkoning. Pale yellow body with quick-receding head. Corny nose. Sweetish and malty taste. Reminds me of corn syrup. Quite vulgar actually.

Grass taste? Pee? Somebody where had already ate grass or drank pee to say that Skol have a grass or a pee flavor? I like Skol, I really like. Ok, Skol is a light beer, it is true but, for the weather of Rio de Janeiro, it is perfect. Try to drink a beer with 5 ou 6% of alcohol in rio de Janeiro´s beach in the summer? You will die. And, what the americans are talking of light beer? Here in Rio, Budweiser is also know as "Budwater" and Skol is better than Budwater, ops, Budweiser....

12 oz can brought back from a friend from Brazil. I didn’t bother pouring it into a glass.Aroma is sweet corn and grass, it smells like a nasty 40 from back in college. Thankfully it doesn’t taste as bad as it smells. It’s not great by any means but drinkable if you don’t have any good beer around. It basically tastes like your typical macro lager but there’s a bit more of a sweet corn taste to it. Don’t go out of your way to get this.
