Our Amber ale brewed with a shapely malt body and enough hops to keep her feisty. Flavors of caramel, mild citrus and a clean, balanced finish.

Seeing this beer around for years, I always thought ur was a pepper beer. Always excited to try it, a little surprised to learn its just a plain amber, and less than what I have learned to expect from Smooth as of late. Not boring, just less than their other great offerings. A hoppy amber here for sure. Draft pint at Xfinity Arena, Everett. Tips. Hazy copper, amber pour with a lasting head. Caramel constant aroma. Hoppy more so in flavor than aroma. Creamy. Good for an amber. Alright overall.

Chuck’s 85th, Seattle. Creamy off-brown head, copper amber smooth malt body. Smooth orange malt nose. Creamy, wooden Amber malt body. Some citrusy notes cutting the amber some. Nice, but incongruous. Smooth, round body. Some metallic, cardboard bittering. Warm bready flavors. A bit odd, but alright.

On tap at Skookum, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is restrained, with some bready malt, not much else. Flavour is more pronounced, with a big dry hoppy punch and a biscuity malt backbone. Drier and hoppier than most ambers, but still not overly convincing. It’s solid for what it is.

Draft - Caramel and some earthy hops. Clear gold with a rich white head. Nice spicy hop notes, balanced bitterness and some caramel. Decent.

Draught in a flight at the brewery. Pours a clear amber color. Nose was pretty bready and dough, with some slight sourdough elements to it. Taste is slightly bitter and also somewhat doughy. It sat heavy and weird on my palate.

Draught at the brewery, 5.1% ABV
Cloudy amber color with creamy head. Minimal aroma of hops and caramel. The mouthfeel is very dry, a bit too weak, with some caramel, strong bitterness and a metallic aftertaste.
Nothing exciting.

Clear amber color/ ivory head. Caramel, light fruit, marshmallow aromas. medium body. Lightly sweet spicy caramel, marshmallow, butterscotch flavors--decent

Cloudy amber pour, thin head. Aroma is toasty with a little sweetness and some light floral hops. Sweet caramel, toasted nutty malt, and a pleasant floral/citrus hop finish.

On tap at WABL Fathers Day BrewFest 2008. Pours hazy dark copper with a lacy off-white head. Medium body & light carbonation. Lightly sweet taste and aroma with a little chocolate, a little pine, and loads of brown sugar and nuts.

scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - OCT 15, 2007
less malt and more hops than other ambers ive had, its more like a solid pale. strong carbonation good head. great finish as the hops are present and bold but not aggressive
