Draught at the brewpub.
Clear red brown coloured with a lacing white head.
Sweet aroma of caramel, sulphur, rye bread and metal.
Sweet flavour of caramel, rye bread, liquorice and hops with metallic notes.
Quite hoppy for a hvidtøl, but too expensive ! Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 9, 2008
Growler 200 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup who wandered alone through the dark woods on a stormy day to get this for us. Clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt - and a buttery whiff. Medium body, plenty of roasted malt, a little burned caramel and toffee. The finish is surprisingly bitter. 301108 Ungstrup (37284) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2008
Draft. An amber-brown beer with a thick lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of malt and straw as well as a little grain. The flavor is very sweet with a bit too much grain and straw, leading to a dry and slightly bitter finish, but the sweetness also lingers.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2008 Draught, 2.0% at the brewpub. Buttery aroma, some old hay and stable. Clear dark brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is quite bready, also has some stable, but as much as the aroma. It is sweet, but not overly so. Burnt malt aftertaste. 3 3 5 3 9

Growlered, 2%. The aroma has some cow and a little butter. Clear brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is OK malty and dusty with a hint of hay and cowstable. OK sweetness, but not overpowering. The bitterness is slightly astringent and the aftertaste slightly watery. 5 3 5 3 12
Courtesy of Fonefan, handbottled. It is a beautiful, red mahogany color and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of malt, butterscotch and roasted caramel. The flavour has sweetness and notes of butterscotch, caramel and the sweetness is challenged by a light citrus peel bitterness. It is an interesting nisse øl with a lot of flavour in the low ABV. faroeviking (10838) - FAROE ISLANDS - DEC 2, 2008
Draught at the brewery. Bit inclear dark brown with a medium rather short lasting beige head. Sweet pleasant soft roasty caramel and malt in the aroma along with some nuts. The flavour has sweet caramel and nuts with mild roasty malt and some spice. Not as sweet as I suspected yespr (44793) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 29, 2008
From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a lowly collapsing tan head. Roasted malty and slight breadish aroma. Sweet malty with a light spice accent and a mild bitterness. Goes into a more roasted and dark roasted finish with a distinct dryness/subdued sweetness.
