[email protected] BF 2013. More or less black colour with a creamy brown head. Aroma is fudge, toffee, some sweet malts and fudge as well. Mild chocolaty and toasted malts as well, when it warms up at bit. Flavour is fudge, toffee, sweet malts and some mild toasted notes.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is fruit, roasted malt, chocolate. Flavour is sweet, fruit, roasted malt, coffee, hop, chocolate. Too sweet. Ordinary beer.

Bottle. 8.0%. Best before 03.04.13. Pours a dark reddish brown with a big beige/brown head. Good lacing. Dark fruit aroma, slightly roasted and a wee bit tart. Sweet and roasted flavour, molasses with notes of sweet liquorice and a hint of coconut. Cloying. Finish is sweet and roasted with a light alcohol note. Lingering grassy note. Raisins and remote smoked note as it warms. Overall so-so; too sweet and cloying. 26.02.13.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, toffee and molasses. Taste is heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a very sweet chocolate and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily to sticky, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. Very dark brown, beige head. Aroma of chocolate and licorice. Sweetish with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Boiled vegetables, pears and burnt coffee. Syrupy with faint notes of metal. Primitive.

Bottle. Pours reddish black with creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, (burnt) caramel, brown sugar, coffee, red port wine, apples and faint gravy. Taste is very sweet and light bitter. Body is oily to syrupy with very soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and sweet with notes of caramel, sweet licorice, faint red grapefruit and faint cream.

Bottle at home. Chocolate aroma, and notes of wood and smoke ? Pleasant mouth felling, medium body some sweetness. Nice ale. Bolton Brew Rocks !!

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark brown with thin but stable dark tan head. Clear arma of malt and rasins. Very pleasant, well-balanced taste of malt, roasted nuts and raisins. Slightly bitter aftertaste. A really good brew. Enjoy!

Bottle. Low and quickly disappearing white fluffy head. Hazy dark brown body. Roasted malt aroma with some choccolate. Sweet roasted malt choccolate caramel flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long sweet finish.
