(bottle - corked & caged 750 ml) Copper pour with a fizzy but very lasting off-white head and light carbonation. Aroma is very sweet with lots of dark fruits, plums, sugar, figs, Belgian yeast, and some bubblegum. Very fruity flavor on the tongue at the beginning. Lots of bubblegum and fig notes followed by a middle of spiced yeast, and a dark fruit finish that is both bitter and spicy. Alcohol is very well hidden and the aftertaste is warm and spicy.

Steib (613) - Queen Creek, Arizona, USA - JAN 15, 2009
Pours a date brown color with a nice frothy head. Malt plum, fruit notes in the aroma. Not heavy on the flavor, semi-sweet notes of figs, raisins and caramel. A light tartness on the palate, very smooth, easy drinking for a 7.4. Ends on some sweet high notes, definitly a nitecapper.

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2008
It is a red mahogany color and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma has notes of malt, dark fruits, prunes, dark syrup, light yeast and spice. The flavour has sweetness and notes of candy sugar, caramel, figs, plum, raisin, light yeast and spice. It is smooth, nice, but not as voluminous or powerful as many other in the same style.

DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2008
Bottle from De Bierloods I think. Deep deep ruby piled with beige. Demerara, HP Sauce, juicy prune, mouldering apple and dusting of chocolate aroma. Caramel and coriander smoothness, brown sugar sweet and apple-accented. Black cherry booziness, but not overpowering. Slky with cooked sugar, dark fruit and yeast. Pretty good.

Ober (2812) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - DEC 15, 2008
@ Kerstbierfestival Essen (B). A little hazy dark brown colored beer, with a thick foamy head. The aroma of cherry fruits with malt and some hop. The taste is fruity like cherries/berries, sweet malts with a little sour in the back. The aftertaste is a little bitter.
