75 cL bottle. Pours murky deep brown with a little lacing off-white head. Mild malty and slight spiced aroma. Flavour is mildly sweetend at first before a mild caramel malt flavour appears before it descents into a mild spice and slight yeasty flavour. I initially sensed some honey like sweetness and herbalness, but that disappears quite quickly again. Finish is mild spiced with a lingering classic belgian mild note of yeast and some malt. Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with a huge bubbly brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes berries and malt as well as lighter notes of alcohol and spices. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel, malt, wood, and over ripe fruits. The finish is dry and a bit spicy. OK, but a bit boring. joergen (28106) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2006

Mlk chocolate coming through in a lightly salty finish. Thorough pleasant with a wealth of flavours. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2006
(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, dark brown with a small, off-white head. Very spicy nose. Quite full-bodied and rather sweet with accents of roasted malt and brown sugar and then again a shipload of spices. 291006 Travlr (24667) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 21, 2009
It’s never to early for Christmas beer.
Appearance is maroon brown with a thin beige head that lasts forever, and laces wonderful lacing.
Smell of malt and a whiff of nutmeg.
Taste is very subtle, even malt, a bit of vanilla, slight caramel, and a distant note of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Body is somewhat lacking, especially for a winter beer.
This one is subtle, as are most Belgians. Probably too subtle for the American palate, which expects either massive hops, massive malt, or additives like a gallon of Starbucks. But it’s very drinkable, and leaves you feeling nice and warm on a cold winter’s evening. Rasmus40 (20639) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2011
Unclear dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dried fruit, yeasty and very spicy. Flavor is rather sweet. The finish is dry and spicy and holds a bit of warming alcohol. The carbonation is too high for my liking. 171110 Beerhunter111 (20468) - P´Castle, GERMANY - APR 28, 2014
