bartlebier (4013) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - APR 30, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 5, 2014 75cl bottle, won at ZBF 2013 tombola, consumed after ZBF 2014. DK export label. Pours a very hazy, yeasty amber with beigish head. Aroma is very yeasty, pregnantly so, up to boiled vegetables, and specifically: Royco Minute tomato soup. Yeast bitters complement hop grassiness in the taste. Astringently dry yeasty palate. Strange, unique, not my favourite beer/tomato soup crossover though.

Opaque light brown with small lacing light brown foam head. Aroma is barley and bread dough. Taste is light caramel, again some bread dough, little sparkling beer. Short lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201404)

Brandman (2954) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 3, 2014
Hazy brown body, light brown head. Aroma has roastiness, chocolate and some coffe in really nice balance. Very hoppy flavour with dark fruits, yeast and some roasted malts. Round and smooth and semisweet. Propably the best bruin ever.

Plovmand (8352) - Helsinge, DENMARK - MAR 14, 2014
Bottle. Pours amber with a bubbly beige head. The aroma is nutty and somewhat toasted with ripe fruity and malty notes. The flavor is ripe berries, marmalade, caramel malt and some bittering hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes röstlichbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig süß, leicht würzig. Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig.

33cl bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours a darkish brown colour with a beige head. Gently carbonated with a thin mouthfeel. Quite disappointing and not what I expect from a Belgian brown. Little taste - almost watered down. I didn’t finish it.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2014 Donkerbruin koper, veel kraag. Ruikt naar mout , caramel, beetje likeurachtig. Smaakt idem, bittercaramellige afdronk.

GSAP (752) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 11, 2014
Karamel en port in aroma en tevens in smaak. In smaak is ook appel te vinden die door kauwt in nasmaak. Beetje dun hier en daar, maar is een fijne tussendoor.

Shark_Pants (755) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 6, 2014
Pours dark brown with large creamy 3 finger head that lasts a long time. Aromas of caramel, dates, figs & raisins. Taste is initially sweet - caramel, dark fruits, cardboard, then transitions to dry and lightly bitter with a metallic taste in the finish. Fairly thin body but the creaminess helps offset. Not bad but not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 330ml @ home
Pours clear dark amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, bread and some fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
