This amber/tan semi-cloudy alt pours a small tan head with a strong malty nose with hints of hops. Initial taste is very sweet, then a hoppy flavor appears, and it finishes with citrus. Carbonation lasts till the bottom (creamy head reappears even on the next to last taste).

Hazed and caramel-orangish-brown in color with a hard lining of grey ice for the head. Aroma revels in maple milk chocolate malted fudge balls with a hint of brown sugared cardboard and melting poppycock. Flavor careens with a citric caramel soufflé bouquet, with lacquered hazelnuts sharing copper kettles. Wholesome carbonation couples with cider on apple walnut corn bread avec caramel drizzle for more appearance that flavor would indicate. Bottled. Poured a nice, clear shade of caramel with a tall cap of creamy beige head. Nose clued me in that this would be sour and ugly in the flavor department... some caramel, but mostly just eye-watering sourness. Flavor was sour as can be... deep down there was some floral bitterness and toasted bready malts... on top and all around was a bracing sourness. 12oz bottle. This one was a gusher - poured all over my office floor. Settled into a deep and cloudy amber color. Aromas of what. I can stretch it into a little nuttiness and some dough. Tastes of the same with some fruits. Has a sour aftertastes. Looks nice enough. Truly copper color with a nice coppery head, that rapidly disappeared. Aroma is flowery, doughy with a sharp edge. Taste is insipid. Sour, diacetyl through the roof....these guys maybe should clean their equipment. Yuck - threw away.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with no bottled/freshness date.
Made a decent appearance, poured a clear reddish/golden hued amber with a foamy off-white head that quickly settled into a thin lacing, moderate carbonation.
Had a lemony fruity and sour malty nose, traces of caramel and honey nuttiness.
A crisp, sourish smooth light medium bodied mouth feel, average drinkability.
Big honey and malt taste, a subtle caramel with some nuts thrown in, followed by a sour fruitiness and a dry sour fruity and honey finish.
Far from the beat altbier I’ve tried, purchased as a single at Woodman’s, I am wondering if I purchased a bad bottle.

Bottle courtesy of Ughsmash. Dark copper in color nice tan head. Aroma is sour apples and oranges. Flavor is very sweet caramel malt, but with the huge sour kick again. dark copper colored body with a light yellow head. The aroma has a hint of oranges and some earthy moss. There is also a very light hint of toffee in the background. The taste has a slightly sour character with some toffee and a little bit of bread crust. There is also some earthy brown sugar. A strange combination of the tartness and sweet malts.
