1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Classic pale lager. Grain, hay and grass in the nose. Pale golden to straw with a fizzy head. Balanced without distinction. Light bodied with a dry clean finish.
Pours clear amber with a thick, though effervescent, eggshell head. Crisp aroma has malt and corn tones, not impressive but acceptable. Hey, I wasn’t expecting a world-class Imperial Stout. Flavor presents malt, corn and subtle fruity notes - a bit wan, but would taste good on a steamy day. Body and fizz are lacking, though not awful. Well, good after a golf game - or while watching one. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - MAY 31, 2015
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle bought at the local Kroger into a pint glass.
Aroma- Corn, wheat and some hops, OK smell.
Appearance- Pours a light clear golden color with a small white head
Taste- Has an ok flavor, hops and wheat with a clean finish
Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation.
Overall- A slightly better than average beer. poochy (11) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - APR 14, 2014
Do you like Blatz? I mean to say, do you like cheap, funky, slightly malty wisconite beer? Cause that’s what this is. Blatz, in a different name. Taste like Fat Tire if it was half PBR. PorterPounder (8170) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 26, 2013
Albany, Ga. - Warehouse Package Store - 12 oz bottle. Light Golden pour, slight haze, thin snow white head. Aroma has some light grainy notes, a hint of olive oil. Flavor has some graininess, a hint of corniness, some honey sweetness. Slightly crisp mouthfeel. Serviceable - went with with the pizza I had. drowland (8888) - Georgia, USA - AUG 30, 2013
8/30/13. Weird - same situation as Mr. Potter below - found this on clearance for $3.99 at my local shop... bought that sixer right up. Drinking straight from the bottle because... well... fuck you. Slammin’ Sam. Light malt, not too corny, a touch of booze (drinking this a touch on the warm side), and just a hint of apple. Relatively clean, not offensive. Better than big macros. I will enjoy my sixer during this fucken heat. fucken a bro

This stuff has always had me perplexed as it seems very obscure in general but its all over the place here. So when I saw it on clearance I got some. Pours a clear golden with a thin fizzy head that quickly fades. Aroma of almost nothing. Faint corn and grain. The taste is sweet malts, corn. Thin bodied, slight acridity in the finish. Meh. Quite strange but nice to drink. It was like having the only brew from a golf club or something.
