Cask. Orangeish amber colour with a small head. Aroma is malty, rather herbal and floral with some slight hints of toffee and nutty notes. Flavour is herbal, earthy, toffeeish and mildly grassy as well. Wellbalanced, but a bit thin in the palate.

madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 24, 2010
23rd July 2010. On tap at the Old Dispensary - Aldgate E1. Slightly hazy amber beer. Decent white head. Nicely balanced even malt and juicy orange hop. Misses a few marks for an appley streak. In good nick but possibly a few more days in the cellar would have been good. Perfectly drinkable nontheless.

chriso (21656) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2004
Standard amber colour. Small, but lasting, head. Strong hop aroma. Distinct hop bite and good balancing malt presence on the palate. Medium bodied. Bitter finish. Nothing exceptional here - just a good solid reliable bitter - and nothing wrong with that. Cask (handpump), Head of Steam, Euston, London NW1.
