Sampled cask conditioned at George Hotel, Eccleshall, Staffordshire.imdownthepub (15131) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2003
Amber coloured. Big nice hay aroma. Dry and malty with soft mouthfeel and a salty and very bitter finish with more hay in it.
Cask Conditioned at The Crawley Inn, Crawley, Oxon. A pale orange amber beer, as clear as a bell. A floral hoppy brew with a thin short head, plenty of heady, lemony and orange hop flavours, little malt backing. A word about the pub, this is a hippy, travellers comune within oxfordshire, very strange, not what you would expect in an English pub, but it has its place and the beer is always good. Cask at Greenwich.
Nice malty brew. Fruit, prunes, cherries. Nutty, dry finish.
Lovely beer for a rainy day! rauchbier (3924) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2002
Very good hoppy aroma (Goldings?), amber in colour with good condition and reasonable head. More hoppiness in the mouth with a good balance of sweey malt. Hoppiness dominates the finish but not too bitter. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 11, 2005

Amber color. Nice aroma of hops first, then malt and toffee. Round mouthfeel, lightly malty, quite good aromatic hopping; light yeast. Easy drinkable, fresh.
Cask at the Leinster Arms - Bayswater, London. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. Solid golden ale, with nice juicy tangerine character, low bitter hay and citrus rind, a bit of sweetening white bread. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation; good condition. Nicely balanced to finish with more citrusy hops and moderately sweet, pale bread. Good one. JorisPPattyn (10062) - BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2003
(Cask) Orange amber, reddish shine; slim white head, gone in seconds. Very flowery-bitter. Best English hops - yet unmistakably caramel malts. Nice hop flavours, just right balance, with citrussy-fruity aroma. The palate, however, is surprisingly lacking: harsh tones and quite empty. A good best bitter, shame about the palate. Cask conditioned at the Twickenham BF 2004, day 1. A fruity malty beer with slightly citric notes. Like a farmyard. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2009
