Cask at The Wild Boar. Pours clear copper with a medium, creamy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is toast and cookie malt, dates and apple esters with light earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness and a sweet finish. Medium to light body and medium carbonation. dynamiteninja (1863) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2014

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 Cask at the Wild Boar, Warwick. Poured a lovely clear golden brown with a white creamy head and some lace. Very little in the way of an aroma, but a lovely smooth, refreshing, malty flavour with I swear a hint of licorice! Maybe it’s just me. A gorgeous beer though and a perfect English bitter. This is so much better than the taster I had at the brewery earlier this year. Well done guys, a real winner!

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2011 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Basic but not unattractive dry sack malt aroma and taste. Mid bitter finish. Straightforward, somewhat one-dimensional, but quite acceptable. 2.10.11. Same location. Autumnal leaf aroma. I used the word straightforward again. Slightly hazy amber beer. A little toffee on the nose. No carbonation. Light dry malt with a little tepid orange hop. Semi dry finish. Boring.
