Very hazy pale golden thin white head. Fairly malty aroma, lightly appley with a bit of honey thrown in for good measure. Flavour is lightly appley, some herbal, minty hops. Decent bitterness on the finish. Alcohol noticible. Drinkable with a few rough edges.

500mL bottle. Semi-sweet corn and wet cardboard scent. There’s some formaldihide and acetone scents showing up in this one, along with a slightly hoppy note, that’s more fuesal than grass-like. Syrupy and semi-thick texture, some nasty hairspray and chemical flavors. Pasty and putrid at times... perhaps it’s carrying some radiation Komrad.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2006 Rearate Not sure what I was thinking back then...full of alcohol and corn. Hint of fruitness and cake mix sweetness redeems it somewhat. Overall, though, sticky, starchy, and too strong. Original 3.3 Aroma - starts out with the usual mild skunkiness but turns a bit spicy and not unpleasant. Quickly dissipating head leads to a cloudy light orange pour. A bit of a complex flavor - somewhat fruity - reminds me of a cheap Belgian - has some bitter maltiness and a thick mouthfeel - slightly yeasty as well. High alcohol content is evident but not distracting. Overall - an odd "pilsener" and probably the strongest I have had.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), trace hops (herbs), with light notes of soap and gasoline, hint of apple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately bitter, husky, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.

larsga (7567) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 16, 2006
Medium offwhite head; yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Sweet fruity aroma. Taste is again very fruity and sweetish with notes of metal and grass. Quite bitter. Bitter, metallic grassy aftertaste. Some chalk. There are some alcohol notes, but not enough to detract from the beer. With a bit less bitterhops (and some more aroma hops, maybe Amarillo) this could be a really good beer. As it is, it’s quite good. (0.5l bottle.)
