Quite good beer to come out of a vodka-drinking country, where beer virtually unheard of 20 yeras ago. Gives the Czech beers something to think about. Clean taste. Crisp. Tasty. Recommended over Obolon. Tried it at the well-known Ukrainian restaurant Log Cabin in Kerhonkson, NY, along with their great Ukrainian food.

Dry taste with a subtle hint of hops. Actually a good beer with foods. Very satisfying on a HOT day!

Interesting. Quite an indescribable un-lagery flavor, reminding me perhaps of a lighter blond ale. Bitterness around the edges of my tongue. Tastes like maybe it’s more than 5%. Classic lager appearance, pale gold with a magnificent pile of head that unfortunately dissipates rapidly (but not completely.) And another Cyrillic label for the collection.

Cheap aroma and initial taste, but rather decent as subtly refreshing on the palate that ends well.

An extremely bready, Eastern European aroma and flavor that’s heavy on the malt and the hops are virtually non-existent. A bit sweet and very interesting. Has a lot of the Czech malt flavor I love.

very tasty brew with a subtle ’dry’ taste that is an excelletn accompaniment for seafood & fowl. Good with pizza as well. Good color & body.

My first beer from the old homeland. Nice tasting, well carbonated. One of the best pale lagers I have had.

cyrenaica (1126) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 7, 2007
I tried this beer on July 6. 2007 after purchasing it from my local LCBO store. It poured a translucent pale gold colour with little or no head. The aroma was very yeasty yet pleasant. The mouthfeel was crisp and clean with hints of carbonation. The tatse was a combination of yeast and malt with a slight citrus tinge that was unexpected.
