Une bire limpide, de couleur or, sans col particulier. Des armes chtifs de crales et un houblonage quasi absent. Plutt insipide. Bire mince, leffervescence moyenne et la fin abrupte.

Being a masochist of sorts Im always fascinated by the "light" beer craze of North America. I never found a "light" beer in Europe, as people were happy to know that their beer tasted like beer. Except in the case of Kriek, but then it tasted like Kriek, and not water. Speaking of which, why havent the big commercial brewers tried to market a Kriek-style brew to the same people who might buy a "light" beer? Nonetheless, in my further education of all things related to beer being "light", whatever that may mean at any given time, this stuff pours with a very pale and clear body but still a small layer of head. Faint aroma of murky hops, which was more than I was expecting. Taste is a smooth nothingness with just a vague hint of malt if you tilt your head correctly at the right time. Dry finish, at least. Im still looking for that "light" beer thats worth drinking instead of a fine soda water.

this is essentially water with a hint of beer. not offensive but not worth the price sleeman sells these for now.

This beer is so bad, when I saw a piece on Minyanville today commenting on it being on this list, I head to sign up for this account to add my own rating in agreement. It is low in calories, though, which will help you lose weight by (a) forcing yourself to try a bottle; (b) not drinking any more beer that night if this is all you bought.

Listen guys and gals. This is not such a terrible beer. It wont put hair on your chest, but it is a Sleemans after all. Lets get real here. A light taste to quench your thirst without the strong after taste. So heres to you all as I take sip of my Sleemans Clear.

Bottle. Just enough taste to let you know you should not have ordered it. Even dead cold there isnt anything to redeem this. So many better beers in Canada...

can. Poured clear pale straw coloured with no head. Little aroma and grainy at that. Adjunct grainy flavour for what flavour it has. Very light, average carbonation, no aftertaste.

341 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear ultra pale gold with thin, quickly disappearing white head. Smells like... a glass of water? Honestly, only the vaguest hint of grains. I suppose I could at least be thankful the aromas not offensive. Now the taste... How do you make something that is both remarkably thin and watery yet fairly unpleasant for the taste it does have? Ask John Sleeman because underneath all the water there are some stale grains. Even the carbonation is underwhelming. This is like flat club soda that someone farted in. Its with great confidence that I give this beer the lowest score Ive given anything yet. At least I can continue on my quest to find that elusive 0.5.
