A refreshingly smooth, full-bodied lager, with a subtle touch of all natural honey which creates a slightly sweet finish.

(1302-191014)

1/3 pint, keg at Mother Kelly’s Bottle & Tap Room, Bethnal Green. A tiny layer at the top of a clear amber coloured body. Fragile lacing. Moderate smell of pale and brown malts. Taste of mild honeyed caramel and nuts followed by herbal hops to the finish. Soft carbonated. Quite nice as a lager beer (London 26.09.2014).

Can from The Beer Store London Ontario September 2013. Good splash of honey sweetens things up a bit. Solid copper colour with a nice sized head.

Keg at Woody’s in Kingston. An otherwise refreshing and well-balanced beer turned sickly by the strength of the honey coming through. Not my thing at all.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2014 Thicket and heavier with a bit of maple and a heavy malt flavor. Smooth with a lingering malt aftertaste.

341ml bottle. Clear copper with a foamy off-white head. Flavors are honey, brown sugar, toffee and toasted malts with fruity and nutty notes. Cloying sweet. Light body, fizzy carbonation, oily texture.

Currently my favored beer. It is a tasty sweet beer best consumed from a bottle.

Can. Pours a nice and bright dark golden (almost copper) with a thin white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of light honey and some burnt sugar, not bad and different from your usual pale lager. Taste is lightly sweet and carries honey and maple toffee flavors. Body is light and mouthfeel a little watery, carbonation medium-high. OK macro beer, would drink again if in a place that doesn’t offer anything close to craft.
