on tap @ Snow Goose / Anchorage AK --- Clear dark caramel amber color, beige head cover, streamers of lace. Taste is fizzy sweet malt that grows substantially through a swallow that glides without incident to a finish that only suggests hops. A reasonable brew, even though it is pretty much "one-trick." Draft: Poured a burnt orange brown with a white to off white head. Aroma is sweet malts. Taste is toffee, caramel malt, and nice hoppy blend that feels sweet but balanced. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - APR 1, 2012
Reddish Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice balance light earth like qualities. Good balanced flavors with a light extra bittering from the hops. Sweet in taste with a dry finish. Travlr (25556) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 24, 2012

[Tap] Tried this at the brewpub in mid-September. Pours an even shade of amber with a small white head. Aroma of caramel and light brown sugar with fainter hints of peat and English hops. Toffee, sweet rolls and earthy hops are the main flavor contributers here. Fine carbonation leads to a hearty mouthfeel. One of the better beers I had at the brewpub. Draft at brewery: Another one from Sleeping Lady that I thought was too sweet. Loaded with elements of caramel, honey, sweet peat and cereal. Hops were earthy, restrained and they only offered a mild amount of grass-like bitterness. thorongil2 (3264) - , Ontario, CANADA - JUL 3, 2011

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2011 Draft at Humpy’s in ANC. Deep, dark with a small film of bubbles that try. Nose is cocoa and orangey-caramel. Flavor is similar with maybe a hint of earthy smoke, but I may have just been wishing, Medium body is watery, drinkable and well-balanced. neepsntatties (2019) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 3, 2010
Had this on tap at the brew pub in Anchorage in August 2009. Colour... dark amber with a thick head. Nose... sweetly malty with some hops and biscuit. Palate... gentle CO2, plenty of sweet malt, yet somewhat dry-ish, some biscuit flavour and light brown sugar with a medium finish.
