Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber, small head. Salty and roasty. Sweet and a bit fruity with unfirm mouthfeel. Caramelly with some syrup and cranberry. Resiny finish withmarked bitterness. bhensonb (15969) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 4, 2006
Can’t smell much other than light malt. Beautiful golden apricot color with little head. Tastes of malt, finishing towards hops. Fair amount of carbonation. Maybe a very slight hint of grapefruit. It’s not sweet, but the malt is always lurking. Hops came out a bit after about a quarter of the bottle. Another session ale? Too malty for summer guzzling. Maybe around Thanksgiving. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 19, 2004

Deep amber coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, nuts and a tiny bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Strong nuttiness in the taste with some malt and pit fruit flavours strong in the front. Aftertaste shows some blandness with some light yeast and nuts and just about nothing else. Overall, a decent amber, but definitely nothing special. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from BevMo in Caramel Valley (San Diego), California. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 30, 2007
Beer had a slight diacetyl aroma. Clear amber color. Slight caramel flavor. A little sweet, somewhat crisp. Very average. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 30, 2006
Not very good. Flavors are watery. Flavors of malt and hops. Very average amber, with nothing interesting to say about it.
