This is the best fruity beer I have had next to the lambics. Very true blueberry flavor paired up with a light ale. Reccommended for female friends, or if you want to try something a little different. psychpunk99 (13) - California, USA - JUL 1, 2002
Nice blueberry nose. Light and easy drinking. great for those not inclined to beer (aka. those we are trying to convert) BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - APR 29, 2002
UPDATED: APR 22, 2003 Pours to a bright golden color, well carbonated with moderate head formation. There’s a sweet flowery aroma with a touch of candy and blueberry in moderation. The palate is very light for an ale with blueberry flavors appearing immediately but not overwhelmingly. The blue flavor runs throughout, bringing with it a touch of prickly spice and just fading towards the finish, while there’s a touch of sugary sweetness in the middle and balancing crisp dryness in the finish.
This is a pretty straightforward blonde ale but the blueberry flavor works really well. joet (2603) - Wilsonville, Oregon, USA - JAN 15, 2002
Solid foaming head on top of a clean orange, tan liquid. Bizarre berry/melon aroma not altogether blueberry. An ordinary, slightly wet American pale ale underneath with bits of berry in the mildly hoppy finish. Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - AUG 31, 2000
UPDATED: JUN 15, 2003 It’s been almost three years since I’ve sampled this beer, and have never been a real fan of fruit beers, of course I do like the occasional lambic to break the monotony of all those over the top ales.
Translucent golden amber color on the pour with the head modest in size, white in color and frothy in structure, the lace a nice sealing sheet upon the glass. Nose is sweet as one would expect, crisp and clean, start also sweetly malt, and top is middling in its feel to the palate. Finish is moderately acidic, hops pleasant and the sweet blueberry, continues to the very dry finish, drinkable and pleasant enough.
