Keg at the brewpub in SLO, 30/04/14. Clear golden amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is blueberries, light spice, wheaten bread, sugary notes, berry fruit medley. Taste comprises much the same, pretty 1D stuff, blueberries, pale malt, straw, sweet notes. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, crisp clean execution. Ok as fruit beers go, the carbonation level keeps it drinkableand stops it from getting sticky sweet, ideal beer on a tasting flight as I wouldn’t be looking for a whole lot more!

Light golden pour with a white head. Really strong blueberry aroma, somewhat fake and sugary, but good. A hint of butter and pancake batter, too. Some syrup, perhaps. The flavor has a strong blueberry syrup note to it. Some pale malt, bread, and dough flavors. A bit of butter and sweet sugar. Pretty decent, actually.

bhensonb (15739) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 15, 2006
Amber gold color. Smells of blueberries and yeast. Not much head, but delicate lacing (plastic pint glass). The start is grassy, passing through confusion, but the end, which persists, is blueberry. The hops tend to get lost in the fruit. Not so bad. Interesting. But buy another six pack?

DocLock (11020) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 12, 2004
Dark straw colored, with medium head. Slight hops and blueberry aroma. Tastes a little like blueberries. Slightly hoppy, acidic, and thin at the end. Not bad.

Can, as Blueberry Blonde Ale. Pours orange with a white head. Plain malty base, a little bit of generic fruity sweetness, faint floral hops, some herbal notes, and a little blueberry in the finish. Fine.

12-oz. Got this as something of a gag gift from a GF who brought it back from a road trip. She says "this is disgusting. Try it."
Pours clear lmedium amber with a tall, dense, moussy tan head that falls away quickly to film. Not much lace. Smells like some sort of frozen blueberry syrup concentrate. Hits you as soon as you crack it, much less pour it. Big synthetic vibes off this one. Get your nose in it, and it smells like white sugar and dust, maybe some bubble gum.
Attack is watery and sticky (how did they do that?). Almost flat. Cloying artificial sweetener flavor on top of some caramel and a thick blast of blueberry. Tastes like breakfast cereal. Not much finish. I’m already burping up booberries and I’ve only had one sip. I think it’s time this beer got to know my septic tank a little better.

Straw hue with quickly disappearing head, no lace. Aroma is blueberry of course, but also detected some aromatic hops and toasted malts. Flavor is bland with the blueberry tasting coy and the characteristics of the ale too subdued. Minor bitter and acidic finish. Thin-bodied with a watery and fizzy mouthfeel. I've had better blueberry beers (Dark Horse and Back Road), this one is on my pass list.

Well, it smells strongly of blueberries and it tastes like blueberries too, but in the end this is not so tasty. On tap at the Yard House in Anaheim.

riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 2, 2007
Slight artificial blueberry aroma. Like a blueberry puree or some blueberry Now and Laters. Pours amber with a small head. Flavor is a mild blueberry against a regular amber ale. The hops and caramel malt definitley over power the blueberry flavor. It does peak through in the beginning on the front of the tongue, and again on the after taste, but it is still relatively weak. Body is medium. It was ok. Will not seek out, but would maybe have again as a desert beer or something.
