From old tasting notes. Hazy yellow gold color. Big bubbly beige head. Pleasant sweet blueberry aroma. Spicy fruit malt flavor has obvious blueberry overtones. Nice complex hop backdrop finishes sharp and hoppy.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2003 It’s been almost three years since I’ve sampled this beer, and have never been a real fan of fruit beers, of course I do like the occasional lambic to break the monotony of all those over the top ales.

Translucent golden amber color on the pour with the head modest in size, white in color and frothy in structure, the lace a nice sealing sheet upon the glass. Nose is sweet as one would expect, crisp and clean, start also sweetly malt, and top is middling in its feel to the palate. Finish is moderately acidic, hops pleasant and the sweet blueberry, continues to the very dry finish, drinkable and pleasant enough.

Light golden color, large head, and intense blueberry nose. Mildly hopped and mildly malted, slightly sweet. Blueberry flavor is mild and subdued. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and fruity some bitterness.

Bottle. Bottle conditioned. Copper with coarse head. Way over carbonated. I can’t stop burping its so bad. But for a fruit beer the flavor is subtle and the base beer is very simple and clean. Crisp with a hint of bitterness. Tone down the carbonation and I actually might try this one again during the summer.

An interesting beer, I picked this one up out of sheer curiosity. How many blueberry ales are there (I'm sure I could search and find out, but this is one of two I know of). The beer poured a hazy yellow (a bit darker than the normal ale) with a normal sized, quickly gone head. The aroma has a strong blueberry scent which is a sweet smell that accentuates the positives in this beer. The beer has a pleasant blueberry flavoring with a slight hint of malt. I'm not a real fan of the fruity beers (other than <a href=ShowBeer.asp?BeerID=1195&FanOfID=5164>Rode Alexander - which to be exact isn't a "fruit beer"). But this one was a pleasant surprise and was easy to drink with a sweet aftertaste. Recommended.

A nice refreshing summer type beer. Taste is dominated by blueberry but the finish is nice and the head is respectable for a fruit beer. Does not have the tart taste that I enjoy from the Belgium fruit beers but still a good beer.

Good blueberry aroma Suprising flavor almost tasted like real fruit. Thought carbonation was pleasant. I think if it had real fruit, it would be an outstanding beer. Nice job.

Golden amber color with a medium off white head. Nose is sweet with a wiff of blueberry. Flavor is light and sweet again with a hint of blueberry. Finish is lightly acidic with a moderate spicy hop bite. I was suprised, but I rather like this one.

Nice looking dark amber beer ,with reddish tones , small off white frothy head. The aroma is quite nice , nice strong blueberry aromas that seem natural and fresh, some toasty malt aromas too underneath. In the taste the blueberry is not quite as pronounced as in the artoma , but there is a strong malty sweetness then the blueberry comes through at the end of the mouthful. Quite nice on the palte , long lingering fruity aftertaste. A good attempt at a refreshing, summer fruit beer. Not bad at all.
