Keg at the SLO brewpub in SLO, 30/04/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white swirl atop the glass trying its best to swim to the edge. Nose is orange squash, grass, pink grapefruit, juicy hop resonance. Taste comprises

brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 25, 2012
A hazy golden pour with a white head. Floral and citrus hop aromas. Nice pine and perfume. Fairly dry with just a touch of bread and cracker malt notes. The flavor is very bright and hoppy. Nice dry and moderately bitter finish. Grapefruit, tangerine, flower, and pine hop flavors with just a light cracker malt character.

This is really a fantastic smelling beer, and anything less than a 8 is wrong. Tons of hops with floral notes mixed in. The flavor is good but not as hoppy as the aroma. The finish is surprisngly unbitter, too much so actually. A fantastic start that fades too much.

omhper (24963) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 26, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Lightly hazy nut brown, small head. Rich citric nose. Mid sweet with cleanm, rounded but unfirm mouthfeel. Heavily hopy, which covers the shortcomings in the malt depatrment well. Marked resiny bitterness.

IrishBoy (4185) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JUL 5, 2010
Draft at SLO. Nose was nice with lots of pine and ivy hops. Hazy orange gold with a medium off white head. Flavor is nicely bitter with some lighter caramel. Long lasting bitter finish.

OK. I cut and pasted this part from my other ratings at SLO brewing: "Tried at the brewpub in downtown Paso Robles after a day of visiting wineries. Man, the wineries ROCK here. What an awesome day. What a better way to finish off the day than to sit down with a sampler platter of ice cold uber-crappy beer." On to the beer: Light hop bitterness. very low hop aroma. Maybe a bit of dishrag. Amber color. Lots of carbonation to replace the waning hops.

AleDrinker (1089) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUN 20, 2008
On tap at the SLO location. Nice west coast IPA. Strong aromas/flavors of citrus and a light fruity sweetness. Solid bitterness with a good body make this beer finish smoothly. Nice.

SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - MAY 25, 2008
Draught at the Santa Barbara location. Clear ruddy amber color with a creamy head. Herbal, piney hops in the aroma. Basic Cali IPA flavor profile, with piney and grapefruit peel hop flavors with a light toasted malt base that gives a little grain sweetness. All the flavors seem pretty light and watered down though. Makes for a sessionable and balanced beer, though for the strength, this should pack some more in there. Finishes bitter, with a medium-light body and crisp carbonation. Alright for a lighter flavored IPA.

phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 20, 2008
Sampled on draught: medium bodied brew, porus a clear amber colour with a big white head. lots of classic citrusy character in the taste. Hops are noticeable, not overly strong but pleasent and well integrated.
