2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at Claim Jumpers. Very smooth, light reddish-brown color, very clear. A hint of hops and a slight cherry taste. Crisp and refreshing, but not much taste.
Is this from SLO or Bayhawk? the menu mentioned both.
On tap at Claim Jumper in Lynnwood, WA.
Came to the table with no head, no lacing, amber with a red tint.
smell was very faint, grass, maybe a touch of hops.
taste was weak, watery, lacking any real taste, some hops were present, it was sweeter than i would expect and in fact questioned if it was the "CJ Honey Blond", it wasnt...

On tap at Claim Jumper arrived with no head at all. Reddish almost pink color and very little carbonation. Aroma was almost non existent but slightly sweet malt. Flavor was somewhat lacking even after letting it warm as it was too cold. Slightly sweet malt flavor only a hint of hops. Palate was thin. Something to have while out, but not very good. Draft at Claim Jumper, Lombard, IL as "Claim Jumper Original Red Ale" A pale red, close to a Leinenkugel red in color and temperament. Draft head poured well into a pint shaker, which had kind of a soapy smell. A pretty nice amber smell settles in later. Taste is smooth lightly toasted malts, with a kind of creamy quality. stoutchap (423) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 17, 2006
A decent amber. Nice coppery look, with a thin white head, and just a touch of lacing. A little sweetness in the beginning, a light nut middle, and a touch of grapefruit in the end. A little weaker in the mouthfeel than I like, but average for the category. Very drinkable and went well with my burger and Thai slaw (draft at Claim Jumper).

Draught at the Claim Jumper in Rancho Bernardo, CA
Light redish amber color, brief white head and light lacing. The nose has some light caramel notes along with a nutty full malt profile on the mouthfeel. The flavor is moderately sweet, it’s nice to see a malt focused amber and for it to actually work. Decent red ale with a light fruity tail. I might get a pint of this if I ever return to Claim Jumper. I think my heart can only take one visit though. The ribs were "Flinstones sized". Seriously.
