COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What a fun blonde beer this is. The nose is deliciously malty. The overall flavour is fruity, with hints of sweetness and a warm alcohol glow, which tapers off into a slightly bitter finish. We launched this classic beer in 1983, making it our oldest high-fermentation beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle.

Golden color, clear, large hear, gentle carbo. A: fruity yeast, citrus and apricot, biscuits. T: reminds of Duvel with citrus and marsipan, fruity bitter development with nettle note. Aftertaste is fruity, bit doughy, biscuits, citrus.

Poured yellow with thick foamy head which quick went. Aroma is yeasty, slight honey, perfume and grassy. Taste reminded me of a lower quality version of Duvel. Certainly drinkable and nice to try but doubt I will be buying again.

7.5%. Belgian Strong Ale. Wet yeasty nose. Wet cement or wet clay. Lightly sour nose reminiscent of cider or apple vinegar. Lightly carbonated in the palate. Thick, malty sweet palate. This is cut by the alcohol more than hops, which are close to non-existent. Nice sweet malty flavors continue to bloom a little more after in the palate and the back of the throat developing some sweet tropical fruit complexity. Would still go with a Karmeliet if considering a tripel or a strong ale.

Aroma: Citrus, honey, hop, yeast. Appearance: Golden colored beer with a persistent white foamy head. Taste/Palate: Starts with sweet honey and ends in bitter citrus. Not really deep. Overall: A decent beer, refreshing and without an alcohol taste.

Bottle 33cl. Clear light yellow with a huge, sturdy white top. Nice carbonation. Aroma is not very special, a bit of citrus is recognizable. The taste is a pleasant bitterness, which turns a bit sharper as the aftertaste develops. Reminds me a bit of Duvel.

honey and malt the brew is a bit sticky in the body. some old ale and a bit of berry perhaps blackberry which i can’t stand but seems ok here. some dimension to this beer and alcohol not evident. a bit of artificial nut perhaps.

Iets troebele goudgele kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt moutig, hop, kruiden, zoetig. Smaakt zoetig, citrus, mout en suiker.

Hazy amber color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of sweet malt, honey, toffee, & some spice; Flavor of sweet malt, some yeast, honey, fruit, and light spice; Short finish; Somewhat watery - but not bad.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Golden yellow beer with medium white head, good looking beer. Aroma is hard to get, almost non-existent. There is some bitterness in the taste, mixed with some sweet hints. Palate is watery, a bit pale, reminds me of Vedett somehow. Light beer, perhaps good for a warm day, but there are better alternatives.
