COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is Sloop Brewing’s artistic ale. The Sauer Peach’s complex flavors come from a natural sour culture. This tart flavor is woven with sweet peach nectar to provide your palate with a contrastingly balanced beer. It is light in body, and stands at 4.3 by volume. One theory holds that the Berliner Weisse style ale originated from the Huguenots passing through the Flanders region of Belgium on their way to Germany. Later, the Huguenots established a community in New Paltz, NY, which is just across the Hudson River from Sloop Brewery. This is our interpretation of their beer.

Bottle shared at the Chris & Ruth pre GBBF shindig tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Gusher!!! Pours lightly hazy yellow with a fizzy white head. Some floaties in there. The nose has light tangy peach, lemon, faint plastic. Light sweet flavour, moderately dry, with more lemon, peach skin. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Drying finish, cleansing, with more tart peach and lemon. So so overall.

Draught @ Albion. Hazy dark orange with very small frothy off-white head, faint acidic aroma, high carbonation, tart taste with a hint of prach flavor, somewhat thick body, abrupt finish with a bit tartness lingering. Interesting brew.

Bottle split at Chris & Ruth’s pre GBBF Shindig, 07/08/16. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is peach esters, tangy melon, apricot jam, straw, grass, light floral. Taste not as intense as the nose comprising peach yoghurt, lemon rind, soft wood, tropical fruit sprinkle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a gentle puckering bite. Nice easy drinker ... a refreshing ’Linner.

On tap at Rattle n Hum - East, pours a cloudy dark yellow with an orange tint and a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice mix of lacto, peach and light biscuity malt. Flavour is really well-constructed, with tons of peach, with natural sweetness, a little lacto, a hint of tartness and a dry wheat finish. Complex and with lots of depth. This is how you use peaches in a berliner. Excellent.Flavour

Bottle shared at the pre GBBF chriso’s tasting day 2 07/08/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A gusher. A translucent yellow straw coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Attractive. Aroma is big white peach, nectarine, funk, peach yogurt. Flavour is composed of mellow wheaty bready grains, earthy. Peach and nectarine, good fruit character. Palate is mellow wheat grains, moderate carbonation nice crisp dry finiah. Good.

Bottle share at Chriso’s Sunday Shindig. Thanks! As ’Sloop The Sauer Peach’. A bit of a gusher – Jan’s expert skills saved the sloop. Dark yellow, opaque, hazy, no head, some white suspended floaties. Aroma is peach yoghurt, sawdust, new socks. Body is light, foamy with tingly carbonation. Taste is lightly peachy, washed out and papery, mineral wash, thin squash. OK. (3.2)
