UPDATED: NOV 11, 2005 RERATE: Had this on june 24, Midsummers Eve, 2005. A bottle stored since december -03. Just wonderful. Black with a yellow/beige head. Incredible malty and fruity aroma, with the cocoa, chocolate and licorice still showing. Flavor just as good from vanilla, toffee, chocolate and cocoa. Some licrorice and a great body. This one really has matured in the best of ways...
Nov- 03: Draught at the Ardbeg Room, Stockholm. Black with a wonderful brownish head. Aroma is dark chocolate, some sweetness. Flavor is cocoa, coffee and chocolate. Somewhat bitter in the finish, but overall a quite mild stout. (6/4/7/4/15 Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2004
Draught. Fruity, alcohol, chocolate milk, light smokiness. A lot going on here. Plum, port, vanilla, oak, watermelon. Awesome. Dark black clear with tan lacing head. Silky thick body ith light carbonatio, warming. Taste is phenomenal, second to DFHWWS so far. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, oak, toffee, many more. Finish is sweet and bitter, with pleasant chocolate roasty after. Great beer. TorbenJensen (1517) - Valby, DENMARK - AUG 18, 2015
Rough light brown foam. Lovely aromas of lightly roasted malt with some hints of coffee. The taste is lovely mellow with a little coffee, a good portion of roasted malt, a little fruit and dark bitter chocolate. It’s all nice rounded of with little hops. It’s a really delicious Imperial stout, requires great attention. Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 16, 2004
black colour, fine brown-tainted head and a nice lacing, complex nose, strong coffeish aroma, pastries and plum, roasted with some notes of alcohol, oily and bitter, very long aftertaste of black chocolate and coffee - very balanced, subtle with a strong character at the same time - this is a great beer, a big thanks to Per for this one ! Svært med lite skum. Lukt av sjokolade og kaffe. Smaker sjokolade og kaffe, men også hint av noe frukt. Litt bitter avslutning. Årgang 2012. Melkebaren. PapaVillum (943) - Valby, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2014
Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2003
[Bottled] Very black with a small but compact brown head. Intense aroma of very dark chocolate and strong roasted coffee. The flavour is even more intense and powerful. Very full bodied. Long lasting aftertaste. A fantastic brew. One of my favorites at the Danish Beer Festival 2003. rickgordon (3874) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 3, 2003

Black. BIG beer this. Aroma of plum, dark chocolate and phenol. Rich flavour of dried fruits, prune, and coffe. Pleasantly dry. Fiery mouthfeel. Well hidden ABV. I love it! Just wait a few years and this will become better! spporras (259) - FINLAND - SEP 5, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2007 (Bottle BB 30/03/16) Roasted malty, chocolate, licorice and alcoholic aroma. Dark brown (reddish) colour and small, brownish, more or less fully diminishing head with a hint of lacing. Roasted malty, strongly licorice, coffee, fruity and bitter flavour. Softly carbonated, dry, slightly alcoholic (astringent) and full-bodied palate. The best Swedish beer I’ve tasted so far! Truly excellent brew! 21/01/07 (original ratings were 8/4/9/5/16 and 8/4/9/5/17)
