4 caramel and lager,
3 lager with caramel added
5 caramelly lager, touch of wool later
3 some crispness as a lager, but some smoothness brought on by the caramel
9 so, did they put caramalt in this? dont’t know what’s wrong with this, if anything, but it’s just dull. Touch of washing machine detergent. Not a complete disaster, but I expect more from them.
Slottskällans has only offered me disappontments lately. too bad. ok hops, but too malty for me. TET (3035) - Kaarina, FINLAND - APR 24, 2010
Dark brown beer with big and blond head. Flavour is roasted, strongly malty and some rye bread. Flavour is quite similar than aroma, lot of malts, some sweetness and roastiness. Almost medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Typical, dark lager and there are not suprises in this beer. SaintMatty (7373) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - APR 12, 2010
500ml Bottle - Brown/dark amber in colour. Marzipan, caramel and raisins feature in the aroma. Roasted, fruity and slightly metallic taste with roasted malt, caramel, toffee and raisins. Easy to drink and fairly enjoyable. tlind2 (1732) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 8, 2010
500 ml bottle. Deep amber color, tan head. Malty flavor with nutty notes and some raw dough. Not that great.

Pours quite dark brown with a large head. Aroma and flavor dominated by roasted malts as expected. Very drinkable but nothing special. muffel (150) - Lower Saxony, GERMANY - MAR 8, 2010
Bottle 500ml (K-Market Kamppi). Pours a reddish-brown color with a large white fluffy head. Low carbonation. Taste is very malty, some hops and quite sweet. Aroma of caramel, nuts and some chocolate. Overall easily drinkable, a bit watery and mild. A little bit of bitterness in the afteraste. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - FEB 8, 2010
0.5 l bottle From K-Market Länsiväylä, Jyväskylä. Dark amber color. Malty, nutty, toffeish and caramelly aroma. Toffeish and nutty flavor with some toasty notes. Nice nutty aroma, the flavor is OK but does not have that fresh maltiness present in best dunkels. mjs (7413) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 23, 2010
(Draught, the 4.5 % ABV version, at Pikkulintu) Poured deep amber and clear with medium sized and white head. Aroma contained malts, grass and butter. Palate was medium bodied and stingy with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, roastedness, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and lightly roasty. Hermod (7937) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JAN 22, 2010
50cl bottle, CM-Vantaa. 4.5%. Pours copper color with a white huge fluffy head. Aroma is malty with some hints of caramel and chocolate. Flavour is mild and sweet , caramel malt mostly, ends little bitter. Münchener well recognizable. One of the better dunkels I have tried in a while.
