Bottle. Bought @ Systembolaget, Strömstad. Pours a clear amber with a small, creamy off white head. A helluva lot of bubbles surching up towards it. Malty aroma, some grassy hops note, caramel, hay. Flavour is a bit off actually, some cardboard yeastyness coming through. Otherwise caramel sweetness on top of limited grassy, peppery bitterness. Svesse (8781) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 6, 2007
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 28 Sep 2007) Copperish golden colour with frothy white head. Malty nose with notes of hay, grain and buttery, malty sweetness. Malty, grainy taste with hay, toffee and grassy hops in the finish. The buttery malt sweetness ever present in their beers dominates a bit too much for my taste. ekstedt (6976) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 29, 2007
Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Beautiful amber colour but a fizzy a short-lived head. That typical SB potatoe cellar malt aroma is there again, this time however accompanied with a nice roasted tone. Perhaps a bit thin but with a firm bitterness. Hardly an Oktoberfest though. Draught. Small fluffy white but lasting head. Clear amber body. Very malt dominated aroma. Astonishiingly carbonated and bitter flavor. Long lasting aftertaste. Marsiblursi (3083) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 27, 2007
(Bottle) Pours copper amber. Quite nice malt blend with a light roastiness, nuts, roasted bread and medium dark caramel. Strawberries but also some more subtle fruits. Hops bring flowers. Some spicy notes both in the nose and taste. Malty and light fruity flavour with tones of caramel, tiny chocolaty, nuts, pears and strawberries. Light bitterness with a floral and light citric sting. Medium body and mouthfeel. A special beer, but not a typical schoolbook example of an Oktoberfest IMO.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2007 2007 Bottle. Light red color and with a slim not lasting white head.
Smells of white bread, some fudge/caramel and fruity hops.
Tastes of malts, nuts, caramel. Some fruity notes as well.
Medium carbonation. An ok beer. But I will probably not buy it again.

2007 bottle. Clear amber with a huge, creamy yellowish head. Sweet and bready aroma with nice spiciness and some hay. Bread and butter, hay, starting sweet, but ending semi-dry. A bit sirupy texture. Not bad, a bit too buttery. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 16, 2007
