A really good smell of roasted malt. The taste is not much worse. It is of nuts and roasted malt and chocolate that I at least love. The aftertaste is also wonderful but perhaps a bit weaker and disappears too fast according to me. But still a great beer to drink if you like the roasted malt and chocolate. 33cl bottle from systebolaget, Sälen. Pours close to black with a small, tan head. Moderate fruity aroma with dark malt, dark fruits and lightly hoppy. Medium sweet with a fairly dry and medium bitter finish. Decent porter. Staffan47 (908) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JAN 31, 2014

330ml bottle courtesy of Rune - very dark reddish brown near black, huge foamy tan head, smoked coffee aroma, poor lacing, unusual flavour, very bitter for a porter, nice smokiness, carbonation on the high side, coffee on the finish JohnRMurdoch (5307) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - DEC 21, 2013
330ml bottle from Rune shared with mr_h. Looks like oily coca cola, very dark reddish brown. Treacle malt aroma. Smokey barbecue coffee flavour. Bitter aftertaste. More a smoked beer than a porter. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - DEC 19, 2013
Dark almost black body with tan super stable head. Excellent looks. Toffee, thick malts, bit burned, caramel like sweetness. Certainly a great mouth feel for the moderate alcohol, fine porter creamyness, yet not sweet, actually bitter enough and dry enough ending as well. Great balance, very surprising. I mean it’s not a imperial stout people, it’s a moderate alcohol porter. I think it’s really well made. (33cl bottle, brought from Uppsala by Bertanne, many thanks!) yngwie (17540) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 11, 2013
Bottle. A big, light tan head forms over a body looking black. Nice lacings left. The aroma has a burnt, sour bonfire touch, as well as spent coffee grit, some licorice and prunes. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. I’m not experiencing it as dry as I’d expect from the back label, but it’s more on the dry side than the sweet side. It’s lightly sourish and quite reminiscent of bonfire and ashtray. Coffee and licorice in the back. It’s pretty bitter too, especially in the mostly roasted finish. Overall, a tasteful and pleasant beer I could certainly have more of. Unfortunately it’s not common to find porters this good at only 5.5% ABV. 131211 Ernest (7984) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 6, 2013
Bottle (BB Apr 2015, hilarious!).
Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting.
Body is dark brown.
Aroma is moderately malty (roasted/burnt grain, coffee, bitter chocolate), with notes of tar.
Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/creamy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately astringent.
Another sour (in an unpleasant way) porter/stout, sadly, and another miss from Slottskallans. Not a bad aroma, but simple.
