500ml bottle from that Systembolaget on the outskirts of Uppsala. Lager gold with a flat white top. Pleasant honeyed shrub lager with Germanic accents, base biscuit, cherry blossom, floured rubber and lemon cake. Nose rubber, honeyed pine and shrub. Bread and lemon. Decent.

330ml bottle enjoyed straight out of the bottle. Light bread, grass and citrus. Smells more refreshing and citrusy than it tastes.

500ml bottle. Clear golden body with no crown to mention. Light bread, honey and grass.
Pours a clear pale gold with white head. Malty bouquet with a slight burnt gun powder hint, buttered popcorns and slight hoppiness. Light to medium bodied, creamy/buttery palate with malty notes and low to moderate bitterness. This is a good, clean and well made lager. Simple, but more interesting than a standard macro lager.

Bottle. Pours clear golden in color with a small whitish head. Light notes of hay, garden fruityness and green herbalness in aroma. Green grassyness, light mineral notes, citrus fruityness and hints of spicyness in taste. Nice one, refreshing too. djoeye (4605) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 11, 2014
Fine modest off white head, clear golden body, not pale. Modest lacings, one rim and small kitchen curtain.
Aroma; fresh citric hops, fresh grassy hops, spices, floral touches, bread notes, lemon-tart-creamish notes.
Taste; hops in front of the taste, then crispy rye bread, nut oil, butter, cheese, sweet sap, bread malts, slightly roasted.
Normal and slightly slicky on palate with pilsener’ish crispiness.
Fine malty finish with some crispy hoppy notes on.
This is a golden pilsener.

EKO-lager. Clear yellow color with small head. Aroma is grassy hops, vegetables. Flavor is malt, sweet, some hops. Not bad basic lager. VastActiv (7130) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 18, 2014
Bottle from local market, Helsinki. (as EKO-lager). Originally rated 09072012. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain and malts. Andy_ (1110) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 21, 2014
Slottskällans EKO-Lager, 4,5%
Clear golden beer with little white head dissolving quickly. Aroma and flavor have buttery diacetyl, pale malts and grassy hops. On flavor the fresh cut grass of the aroma turns more into dry hay. Finish has a decent bite of bitterness – not too strong but a long finish. Palate is thin and at times watery with high carbonation. Kind of a Czech pils feel, not bad at all, but gets a bit musty towards the end of the glass. Bonus point for being organic.
