COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An autumn brown ale with distinctive toasty flavors from an assortment of roasted malts and grains. As a seasonal, limited release beer, its nutty characteristics offer a great companion to colder climate cuisine. A bright hop finish from Cascade and Fuggles balance the toasted grain notes to create a new expression of autumn brown ales. Brewed with Toasted Buckwheat, Maris Otter, Victory, Brown and Chocolate malts. Balanced with a bright hop finish from Fuggles and Cascade.

On tap, Ginger Man Boston. Deep dark brown colour, white head. Nice one this, strong malty flavours, some toasty and slightly roasty with hints of toffee and a bitterness too. Brown malt. Large hop bitterness, spicy, not too much fruit, good balance with malts. Very nice.

16 oz. can thanks to Willrunforbeer for the share. Fresh canning date of: 8-26-16. Aroma shows roasted nuts, peanut shells, and deep grain. Appearance of a deep brown, with light white head lacing the glass.

Taste of roasted nuts, mild toast, cocoa, and some earthiness. Palate has a medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, and toasty. Gosh damn, for a brown ale this is really a standout. Very finely constructed.

Bomber from Spirits Lakewood. Poured a super dark chocolate brown almost black with an average sized deep beige head. Aroma/flavor is cardboard, newspaper, light chocolate, dark fruit skin and wet nuts. Body is medium with lighter to average carbonation lingering aftertaste. Meh...

On tap. Felt like this drank more like a stout than a brown ale. Semi creamy texture. Slightly sweet flavor with a fairly pronounced roasted quality. Decent beer, but would not but again.

Purchased from Carriagetown earlier today. $8.00 for the 650 mL bottle. To red wine glass, it pours a mahogany-tinted reddish dark brown with which a trim beige ringed head 1 pinky nail in length stood. Aromas of autumnal leaves, chestnuts, flaked barley, biscuit malt, wet newspaper, bird feed, California yeast, pumpernickel, and American noble hops. Tastes the same with the addition of roasted bananas, minerals, and leather. I wish the nuttiness had been stronger, but overall this is a cunningly solid brown ale. Damn, New England has been killing it in the brown ale category in the last few years.
