lovely pour from a corked 750ml. deep purple with a frothy head. great aroma of tart raspberries, hints of sweetness and sour notes. creamy when it hits your tounge followed by the tartness of the raspberry. a bit of a lingering berry flavor but it’s pleasant. thanks watson1977!

Bottle from a trade with watson1977. Pours clear maroon color with pinkish purple head. Aromas of sweet raspberries. Slightly tart raspberry flavor. I was expecting it to be sweeter and more syrupy. It was crisp and refreshing, reminded me of a flavored seltzer only much better. Light body with effervescent carbonation. Thanks Kerry.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Shop Rite - Hoboken, 8/26/11

Aroma: The nose is fairly sweet and slightly tart, there’s not much going on here besides the fruit
Appearance: Pours a cloudy reddish-brown color with a big fizzy head that dissipates really quickly
Flavor: The flavor starts fairly sweet up-front, and turns quickly into a tart, acidic mid-to-late flavor
Palate: A somewhat airy/thin feel, and with an overly fizzy carbonation that hurts drinkability significantly
Overall Impression: I didn’t get the best impression off the bat here, since this one was a total gusher out of the bottle, and as I drank it my impression didn’t improve all that much. I wouldn’t recomend drinking this one unless you really enjoy carbonation and medoicre fruit flavor.

Solid Fruit beer. Strong raspberry taste and smell, harsh alcohol aftertaste to it as well though which wasn’t great. Ok beer, nothing great

Bottle. Dark ruby with big pink head. Flavour is malt, fruit, raspberry, watery, little bitter, tiny bit tart and syrupy.

Pours a dark magony brown to purple beer with a quickly dissipating pink head. Aroma is intensely fruity and sirupy. Taste is extremely malty and fruity, lightly dry and bitter; in reality, though, this isn’t so much beer as cassis with malts added.

Big Top Beer Distro: Pours a framboise color with a maroon head. Aroma is of raspberries and a hint of booze. Taste has the raspberry at the front, but it peters out to a dry back by the end. Might actually not be sweet enough. I think that if they used some syrup it would have been a good thing. Kind of not enough body and not enough beer taste to make this a worthwhile brew.

From a 750 into a snifter. Pours with a frothy read head. I like redheads. But it swiftly disappears... like a redhead. Aroma is really nice dark raspberry. Here’s when things go truely, truely, wrong. MOuthfeel is like seltzer. Taste is like seltzer with raspberry syrup added... not enough raspberry syrup added. The cork on the bottle had some very sticky, dark red raspberry stuff on it. My guess is that SF adds syrup to the bottle during bottling. Not sure how kosher that is. Anyway, this stuff sucks. Avoid at all costs.

Bomber from Ölbutikken shared with friends 2011-07-19 Göteborg AR: rich aromas of raspberry juice, very fruity and sweet AP: hazy stawberry juice (saft), high fizzy/frothy pinkish/puple head F: watery raspberry juice, wee tartness, wee sugar or sweetener - boring!
