Pours orange amber white head good retention. Nose is malt and faint flowers. Toasted and pale malt gently give way to flowers and light bitterness on the finish. Drinkable light to medium body. Ok.

Cask pour at brewery. Light amber with creamy head. Sweet, caramelly malt aroma. Taste picks this up, adds some butterscotch, bit of bitterness at back end. Creamy smooth. Delicious.

Cask, Standard Tap. Fairly juicy, fruity nose, light body, low bitterness and very juicy mouthfeel. A little soft, disappears quickly but missing something for me to get excited about.

Hand pump at Sly Fox. Really captures the flavor, mouthfeel of the styel. Easy, uncarbonated body. Simple malts, not much hops, but good.

Tap. Pours a slightly cloudy dark gold body with a small frothy white head. The nose is lightly husky with minimal English hops and crusty bread. The flavor is light and easy drinking with some bready and toasty malt, light bitterness, lingering floral hops. Mouthfeel is light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Very easy drinking stuff.

From cask at South Philly Tapro. Pours amber orange with a one finger off white head with excellent lacing. Aroma is of toasted malts, freshly baked bread, pine, light fruittness, grassy hops, light tofee, and light sweet malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a slightly bitter, mostly sweet, medium finish. Overall, a excellent biter that is extremely drinkable.

Cask @ Albion. Hazy orange with large creamy light beige head, faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, watery thin body, abrupt finish with bitter aftertaste. Not a great brew.

On tap at Lost Dog Cafe in Merrifield, VA. Clear, amber gold with no discernible head fairly sparse lacing. Aroma of caramel, toast, mild stone fruit, orange and biscuit. Taste of sweet toasted malt, caramel, stone fruit, light citrus and floral hops. Medium body and low/medium carbonization. Rather sweet for a bitter (and yes I know that a proper "bitter" is not actually very bitter), but still a decent flavor. Definitely not "true to style" though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask pour at Strangeloves. Slightly hazy medium amber pour with a slim but solid foamy head. Lots of lace. Unexpectedly full body. Lots of bready notes. Blood orange honey wheat bread. Feels like theres some spicy rye in the body. Semi-sweet finish. Certainly a more blonde orangey citrus bitter in balance than a classic brown English bitter. Not bad, and certainly sessionable, but in no way a proper English Bitter.
